Itinerary:
07:00 – 07:45 – Early breakfast at the hotel
08:00 – Meet your guide in the hotel lobby and depart toward Arystan Bab Mausoleum and the Otrar settlement
09:30 – Visit to Arystan Bab Mausoleum
Arystan Bab was a revered Muslim saint and spiritual mentor, believed to have lived in the 11th–12th centuries.
A prominent Sufi sheikh and Islamic preacher, he is considered the teacher of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi — a great poet, philosopher, and the founder of Turkic Sufism.
According to legend, he passed on sacred spiritual knowledge, the "amanat", to Yasawi.
Located near the ruins of Otrar, the mausoleum is a pilgrimage site for Muslims and was restored in the 14th century under the orders of Amir Timur.
10:30 – Transfer to Otrar settlement
The legendary city of Otrar was, according to legend, burned to the ground by Genghis Khan for its defiance.
In medieval times, it was the religious and trading capital of a vast oasis at the confluence of the Arys and Syr Darya rivers.
Otrar was an intellectual and economic hub along the Silk Road — known for its coin minting, public baths with heating systems, and an enormous library rivaling those of the ancient world.
It is also the birthplace of the renowned philosopher Al-Farabi.
Though destroyed in the 13th century during the Mongol invasion, the ruins remain an impressive archaeological site. Visitors can explore ancient streets, house foundations, and remnants of over 100 former settlements.
11:30 – 12:30 – Return transfer to Turkistan
